Libssmsdp

The main function that SSM is missing from ASM is the automatic in-band source discovery. We implemented this function in the hosts stack by using an simple out of band protocol. This protocol rely on SSM only to function, still offering an ASM service to the applications with a shared API and Library implemented in C.

In the example directory, take a look a test_msf and test_ssmsdp for usage of the library.
Your system must support RFC3678 to be able to use this library. So far, here is the status of the implementations of RFC3678 on well known operating systems:

Libssmsdp has been developped under GNU/Linux, and kernel bugs reports has been submitted to David Stevens, who implemented RFC3678 under Linux. Only Linux 2.6.12+ and 2.4.30+ can be considered as stable.

Others operating systems has not been extensively tested. *BSD versions of RFC3678 has been developped by Hitoshi Asaeda. Windows Vista should include IPv6 support and full implementation of the API.
